Burda said they put a lot of effort and thinking into the interior because they want to stand out and become an integral part of the community.
“Missoula is a funky town,” Burda said. “We all are here to stay here and live here and raise families here because it’s a funky town. This is a funky restaurant for Missoula’s funky side.”

New French inspired brunch spot to open up downtown Missoula
“We took all the restraints off when we were doing the design to just make it feel funky, like no place you've been before,” he says. “It's going to be social, it's going to be lively. The music is going to be fun. The food's going to be eclectic.”
Très Bonne will sit in the same building that once held El Cazador, located on the corner of Higgins Avenue and Front Street. Trés Bonne eyes November opening despite recent closures
Ben Burda, one of the restaurant’s owners, says Trés Bonne, which means very good in French, will have a “Miami deco” design with a fun and lighthearted atmosphere.
Burda said he’s excited to bring something new to downtown Missoula.
“I’m really excited that we get to hopefully fill some of the shoes that these great businesses have set before us and hopefully get to show Missoula a really great a.m. brunch option and really bring some culture downtown that Missoula hasn’t seen,” he said.

Très Bonne: New downtown Missoula restaurant close to opening
“It’s not a French restaurant. It’s ‘French New American.’ It’s just kind of like, fun. We want to elevate simple food and we want to make fancy simple and approachable.”
They’ll have a DJ loft where local DJs can spin vinyl records on weekends and customers can order boozy milkshakes, cocktails or champagne.
